“The apostles gathered around Jesus and reported to him all they had done and taught. Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” So they went away by themselves in a boat to a solitary place.” Mark 6:30-32. NIV

Vacation season 2023 is officially here. Some people will welcome it with open arms, while some will say, “Ain’t nobody got time for that.” Whatever your stand may be toward stopping and taking a break from it all. It all still revolves around making time to cruise with GOD first. But definitely not on cruise control. Cruise control is good and not so good. When you cruise control, you become a little too relaxed and miss the spiritual scenic route with Captain GOD.

Cruising with Him is physically and spiritually invigorating. It's a Renewal in your soul. Your entire being becomes relaxed and totally coherent. Truly it is the best vacation getaway you can take with GOD. Imagine just you and GOD on a spiritual, uninterrupted vacation together. Nothing is needed but your Bible, journal, writing pen, and soft, quiet instrumental worship music in a secluded place. One day, two days, or however many days you choose to be alone with Him will be the best spiritual vacation day(s) of your life.

Break free now, and don’t get caught up in the “mundane” of being a cruise control Christian by not engaging your mind in GOD’s mindset. Attending Worship Service once a week and Bible study is necessary, but it is not Cruising with GOD is on vacation. I challenge you to intentionally take some time and schedule a Cruise with GOD vacation now.

When you put your spiritual growth on cruise control, it can cause a spiritual disaster.

Dear Heavenly FATHER,

Spending a vacation with You is an excellent idea. May Your Holy Spirit teach us how to have a cruise vacation with you successfully. In JESUS's name, we submit this Prayer request to You. -Amen, in JESUS' Matchless name.
