SUBJECT: “PATIENCE DURING UNCERTAINTY”

“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!” Psalm 27:14 ESV

Winter blizzards, ice storms, snow storms are different, but one in the same. They cause major inconveniences for everyone affected by them. Throughout this nation, people are suffering from destructive winter snowstorms and flooding. With all of these uncontrollable events, the PATIENCE of Job is dimly seen.

We often hear PATIENCE is a virtue, but we rarely, if any, practice it. As we continue to watch this age of time change and progressively come to a prophesied demise, our PATIENCE with GOD, people, and nature should be on high alert. It would be good wisdom to distinctly recognize that each day we rise from our beds, we have only GOD to thank for it. We will never have what we think tomorrow may bring. Because TOMORROW is not promised to anyone so we should celebrate each day and live it by honoring GOD. PATIENCE is honoring GOD and the gift of life that we often take for granted.

Our daily routines can change in a blink of an eye. The recent winter storm and water floods proved it. The fierce destruction of the winter storm forced sheltering in place, sheltering out of place, and without daily essential needs. The result was PATIENCE BREAKDOWN!

Remember:

As GOD patiently gives DAILY needs, we should PATIENTLY understand that a normal lifestyle can change in the blink of an eye. Therefore, we should rejoice in hopeful PATIENCE in the LORD during moments of uncertainty. Amen.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for giving us loving patience. May the Holy Spirit help us to be patient like you. In JESUS name amen.

O.M. Daily Nugget:

“PATIENCE IS THE VIRTUE WE ALL NEED TO HAVE IN OUR DAILY LIVES. ”

Expository study:

  • James 5:7-8.

Food For Thought:

“Patience is not the ability to wait, but the ability to keep a good attitude while waiting.”
