“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6. KJV
PEACE is the Advent-CHRIST-mas second Sunday week theme. Isaiah prophesied that Divine PEACE was coming in the Old Testament. And then in Luke 2:14, the Holy Angels in Heaven sang to the LORD about that same PEACE. Imagine that anointed voice of Tasha Cobb Leonard singing, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men.” It would be melodious.
But if you compare her worship to the voices of Heavenly hosts singing the hallelujah prelude to GOD about His only begotten son bringing Holy PEACE to the earth, a default would be declared. The Heavenly Host of Angels voices would be the acclaimed winners because of their purified, spotless Holiness unto the LORD. Holy PEACE is a gift from our Holy GOD. And, it was that Holy PEACE that JESUS brought to the earth packaged in a profound way that the people were not expecting.
The Jews expected JESUS to start a civil war to deliver them from Roman oppression. But, our kind and loving Savior's divine destiny was to bring unheard-of PEACE to all men. His PEACE was an introduction for mankind to see harmony and unity through the lens of GOD. And it's that same Advent CHRIST-mas PEACE the world needs today. It's called, the tranquil PEACE of GOD that causes you to be in divine rest despite all the discombobulation around you.
WELCOME TO THE SEASON OF CELEBRATING ADVENT.
The second week of Advent CHRIST-mas is GOD shining the light that JESUS is still the Holy PEACE that the whole world needs.
Dear Heavenly FATHER,
Thank you FATHER for freely giving us a Peace that surpasses all understanding. May we exercise Peace toward all men as we await the soon-coming return of our LORD and Savior JESUS during this Advent-CHRIST-mas season. -Amen, in the Peaceful name of JESUS.

Food For Thought:
“Advent is the perfect time to clear and prepare the Way. Advent is a winter training camp for those who desire peace. By reflection and prayer, by reading and meditation, we can make our hearts a place where a blessing of peace would desire to abide and where the birth of the Prince of Peace might take place.” -Edward Hays
