SUBJECT: “ADVENT-The Coming...The Arrival”

Now that Thanksgiving is officially over we move immediately into the CHRIST-mas season. In 2019 while shopping with a dear friend I learned little about ADVENT. I discovered Advent is like the Lent and Pentecost season it is a CHRISTIAN celebration of waiting in expectation. Discovering Advent opened MY mind to why CHRIST-mas is my favorite time of the year. My discovery became a revolution for me. What is Advent?

Advent begins on the fourth Sunday before Christmas day. Advent is defined as: “The coming or arrival, especially of something extremely important.” What could be more important than the birth of the LORD and Saviour JESUS CHRIST? Advent is celebrated in the CHRISTIAN community for four weeks prior to CHRIST-mas. It has is a sentimental blessing attached to it. Rather than just hoping from Thanksgiving to celebrating CHRIST-mas. Advent creates a sense of anticipation and wonders regarding CHRIST’s birth. Like Lent and Pentecost's season celebrating Advent helps you to focus on it's all about ”JC”...JESUS CHRIST.

THE BIRTH OF CHRIST! It's a time to educate yourself about the real meaning of the season. Whether you know it or not there still is a lot of people who don't know the real meaning of religious observances that they celebrate. For the first time in my life, I am learning the detailed meaning of what ”I” celebrate along with others. With the onset of the pandemic now is the perfect time to create or add on new traditions to what you believe that you celebrate.
