"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10.
Sometimes personal life and all of its HEAVINESS can sweep you off your feet. I mean literally overwhelm you to the point of seemingly no return. Not to mention all the unlikely events happening in the world are just added additions to the heaviness. A few days ago, GOD whispered to me: "YOU ARE IN A NO WORRY ZONE." When I Heard those comforting words, my mind raced to Joshua 1:8-9. GOD, reassured Joshua's confidence immediately when he replaced Prophet Moses as Israel's leader. GOD told Joshua to meditate, read and study the word, remember what he commanded him to do. To be strong, be of good courage, don't be afraid and know the LORD is with you every place you go. In other words, GOD was telling the young leader...DO NOT WORRY.
JESUS did the same thing when HE told the disciples not to worry in Luke 12:22-24. Worry can paralyze your mental and physical facilities. Forbidding you to function at your highest potential. Worry is the first cousin of hypertension. That puts worry in the silent killer category. Whenever worry enters your mind, another emotion tends to tag along with it: IMPATIENCE. We grow impatient by worrying that life won't turn out the way we think it should because of the weight of stress and anxiety. Excessive worry actually leads to paranoia and fear. WORRY IS DANGEROUS AND DEADLY.
Often, we forget to cast your worries on the LORD and leave them there. Remember, when King Saul got impatient. He built an altar to make a sacrifice. He actually made a sacred sacrifice that the only priest was supposed to do. He became paranoid because Prophet Samuel did not come to make the sacrifice at the time he thought that he should. King Saul's impatience caused the LORD to reject him from that day until the day he died. GOD's desire is for us to trust HIM 100 %. HE wants us to Trust HIS timing, HIS plan, and HIS will. Imagine if King Saul had waited and obeyed instead of WORRYING, he could have possibly been Israel's first great king. WORRY causes you to take matters into your hands, and when you do that, disaster is sure to come.
So, why do we worry? One main reason is that your connectors to GOD are improperly plugged in. Your faith, trust, and belief circuits must bedevil proof. JESUS plainly said, "the enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy..." Worry is guilty of activating all three of those categories. Let me encourage you to pray yourself into the "No Worry Zone." It is the place where the promises of GOD are yes- yes and amen. GOD's promises are enemy proof and reliable.
O Ministries Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for being the captain of authority in the no-worry zone. May the Holy Spirit help us study, learn, and rely on the doctrines in the no-worry zone. In JESUS name amen.
Manna for today: GOD is your rock and your refuge, and HE is ever available to give you the strength you need to survive the stresses in your life. (O.M. 101)
