“But Peter, standing with the eleven, lifted up his voice and addressed them: “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and give ear to my words. For these people are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day.” (Acts 2:14-15).
The power of authority and boldness from the Holy Spirit exuded out of Peter because he “waited” on the POWER of the gift. Waited in our culture today is not the most popular thing going. Everyone seems to be in a hurry for everything. The best answer today is yes or no. If waiting is a part of the solution, there is a problem. You see it everywhere you go. The hot air oven is a perfect example. Waiting for an answer(s)or something(s) is what we hate to do. We would rather be told we can’t have something than actually to have to wait for it. But, as they say, some things in life are worth waiting for. And, PENTECOST was worth the wait.
The Bible says...
“When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly, there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.” (Acts 2:1-4)
What a beautiful scene and experience. Evangelizing the world seemed impossible before the wait and arrival of the Holy Spirit. The same spirit controlled, directed, and lived in JESUS that came and took up residence in everyone in the upper room. Empowering them with Power and Authority to Go and Evangelize. So the question is, Now What? Simply put...The Season Of Daily Evangelizing. Today, believers must recognize that the same two-thousand-year-old-plus Holy Spirit is in all believers today to “GO” and Evangelize the world.
The celebration of PENTECOST is a time to celebrate and remember the experience of the first one. It is also a time to refresh your spiritual gifts and “GO” evangelize the world. Five major things should be happening AFTER that great celebration of PENTECOST when you evangelize.
1. The Church begins to grow. (Acts 2:47)
2. The word of GOD spreads rapidly. (Acts 6:7)
3. The peace of the Holy Spirit increases in the church. (Acts 9:31)
4. The presence of the LORD is magnified. (Acts 11:21)
5. The Faith of the church grows stronger, and memberships increase.
All this and more happens after PENTECOST if you EVANGELIZE.
Remember:
GOD gave the Body of Christ everything it needs to effectively EVANGELIZE the world.
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly FATHER,
Thank you for the empowering gift of Your Spirit. May we obey the command to go and take the world for the sake of Your Glory for our good. -Amen in JESUS name.

Food For Thought:
“Radical obedience to Christ is not easy... It's not comfort, not health, not wealth, and not prosperity in this world. Radical obedience to Christ risks losing all these things. But in the end, such risk finds its reward in Christ. And he is more than enough for us.” ~David Platt
