SUBJECT: “SPIRITUAL ROOTS”

Updated: Sep 26, 2020

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8.

The HOLY BIBLE has much to say about spiritual roots. Do you have any spiritual roots? Are they strong, deep, and wide? Spiritual roots are that unequivocal faith and trust in GOD. It is a place of uncompromising, unwavering stability in GOD. It's a fertile place where your spiritual gifts and fruit of the spirit cease not from producing.

Spiritual roots do not survive without the spiritual water from the word of GOD. Paul writes in Colossians 2:6-7; “And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.”

Natural roots serve two functions. They provide nourishment for the tree by drawing water and nutrients from the soil and delivering them to the fruit-bearing parts of the tree above ground. Natural roots also provide stability and strength, keeping the tree firmly planted in the soil, so that it can grow to its full potential. And, so it is with spiritual roots. They provide ALL the necessary spiritual nutrients we need to be the servants' GOD has commanded us to be. IF we nurture our spiritual roots we grow deeper in Christ, we can live gigantically and enlarged lives. We can stand firm in the storms of life, bear much fruit while being naturally-spiritually healthy. Dare to this personal simple SPIRITUAL ROOTS TEST: Are you rooted deep in CHRIST?

Be honest, IF a storm hit your camp would you react and survive like a Christian? Do you have any spiritual fruit-bearing in your life? Remember, spiritual roots do not grow overnight. They grow when you grow in CHRIST. Therefore...READING AND STUDYING THE WORD OF GOD IS MANDATORY FOR SPIRITUAL ROOTS TO DEEPEN.
