“If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.” James 4:17. NIV
Recently, I saw a situation that needed some T.L.C. (tender loving care). I was joyfully excited to lend an unsolicited helping hand. However, to my surprise, the receiver wasn't interested in being assisted. Still, I proceeded to help without PRAYING (big mistake). As I continued helping to do what my natural and spiritual eyes saw to do rejection rose up very quickly from the one being blessed.
Abruptly...my anointed compassion collided with my zeal. Before I could gather my thoughts I was in too deep. To deep to even consider to stop and walk away. It didn't occur to me to be quiet as the situation escalated because my compassion to help empowered my zeal to proceed. As things continued to escalate GOD showed up and peacefully dispelled the confusion. What could have been a life-changing and memorable experience turned into an almost disaster scene...BUT GOD!
In the middle of Compassion and Zeal, both wanting to have their way GOD supernaturally removed the stumbling block, and the work was successfully completed. After hours of working GOD reminded me of Nehemiah when his compassion and zeal collided with the enemy. (Nehemiah 6:1-3)
Lesson Learned:
”NEVER enter a war zone without PRAYING and FASTING first.”
