“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. ESV
Why PRAY MORE in May 2023? Excellent question! Because GOD said so. Second, PRAYING MORE honors your spiritual allegiance unto GOD. Third, we are PRAYING MORE in May because GOD commanded us to PRAY without ceasing because it is His WILL for each individual who obeys His commands. If we are obedient to His Will, then PRAYER becomes second nature to us. This is why JESUS left a stellar example of PRAYER so that we would read and learn how He PRAYED and followed His perfect example. May’s obedience unto GOD to PRAY MORE is essential.
It is our PRAYERS of obedience that will help us obey the other two commands for May, which are to FAST MORE AND SACRIFICE MORE. Why? GOD, did not say why; He just said to do it. Last, we don’t know what’s going to happen in the future of our lives, but GOD does. His command to do MORE is for a reason unknown to us, but if we obey, we will enjoy the fruit of our obedience unto GOD labors.
Remember:
PRAYER is an act of obedience unto GOD, and when He calls us to PRAY consistently, we should OBEY without ceasing.

Dear Heavenly FATHER,
Thank you for calling us to pray more, fast more, and sacrifice more. And, now we call on the Holy Spirit to ungird and help us to obey you now. -Amen, in JESUS’ Matchless name.
