SUBJECT: “A CLARION CALL. . .ANOINT YOUR CHILDREN FOR THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR.”

“Like a devoted gardener, I will pour sweet water on parched land, streams on hard-packed ground; I will pour My spirit on your children and grandchildren—and let My blessing flow to your descendants.”

~Isaiah 44:3. The Voice

This is a “CLARION CALL” to every parent, grandparent, guardian, and intercessor: PLEASE do not send our children into a new school year uncovered. It will be detrimental to their protection and success. This is not just a “CLARION CALL” for parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and guardians, but also for the faith community to intentionally cover the next generation in Prayer.

Our corporate thoughts should be that, before they leave church on the 1st day, they should be anointed and Prayed for. And on the family spectrum, your CLARION CALL is before your children step out of the home or step into the classroom, ANOINT them, PRAY over them, and declare the WORD of GOD over their lives. Declare that the Spirit of GOD will rest upon them, cover and protect them, guide their steps in the right direction, sharpen their minds with wisdom to retain the new learning, guard their hearts from the wicked schemes of the devil, and may they have favor with GOD their teachers, administrators, and friends. Anointing and Praying over your children is a tangible act of faith and a symbol of setting a child apart to GOD.

The anointing oil is not the source of GOD’S power the Holy Spirit is. Anointing and Praying over your child is a teaching class before the children go to school. This is not a difficult process but it is considered very spiritually mandatory. Here are six suggested ways to anoint and Pray over your child/children.

~1. Gather the family before school begins. Or make it part of a church-wide back-to-school service.

~2. Explain: “This oil is a symbol of our Prayer that the Holy Spirit will spiritually cover, lead, strengthen, and protect you.

~3. Put a small amount of oil on your finger and make the sign of the cross or place it gently on their forehead.

~4. Lay hands on them and Pray specifically over their mind, heart, relationships, safety, teachers, and favor.

~5. Speak a personal declaration: “You are loved by GOD. You will walk in Godly wisdom, courage, peace, and favor. You will be a spiritual light in your school.”

~6. Continue covering your children throughout the year not just on the first day back-to-school.

Remember:

To Pray with them before tests, have those difficult conversations, ask and monitor new friendships, attend extracurricular activities, and pay close attention to every transition.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly FATHER ,

Thank you for the trumpet alarm. May it blow loud to remind parents, grandparents, and guardians, to anoint their children for the school year ahead. May Your Holy Spirit rest upon every child anointed so that Your Blessing will be evident in every classroom, hallway and friend relationship. May Your protection, wisdom, courage, and peace be upon all children returning to school.
