ATTENTION…

ALL FORMS OF BULLYING ARE PAINFUL

There are wounds that cannot be seen, tears that never fall in public, and cries for help that are never spoken aloud. Some children walk into their school carrying backpacks, water bottles, sports gear and the burden of rejection. Some employees report to work, perform their duties, and smile through meetings while silently enduring intimidation, humiliation, or exclusion. Others attend church, serve in ministry, and encourage everyone around them while privately struggling with the pain of mistreatment. Again. . .

ALL FORMS OF BULLYING ARE PAINFUL.

Most often, the person who smiles the most is sometimes the person who is hurting the most.

Besides, National Breast Cancer Awareness and National Domestic Violence October is National Bullying Prevention Month too. This is a time to raise awareness, encourage compassion, and remind our schools, workplaces, churches, and communities that

ALL FORMS OF BULLYING ARE PAINFUL

and it should never be ignored.

Bullying has a form that is not always loud, physical, or easy to recognize. Sometimes it appears through repeated name-calling, threats, humiliation, intimidation, spreading rumors, deliberate exclusion, or harmful online behavior.

In the workplace, bullying may involve repeated belittling, undermining another person's work, or using authority to intimidate. In schools, it may involve a child being targeted, mocked, threatened, or isolated from classmates. Even within places of “WORSHIP” people can experience harmful treatment through humiliation, manipulation, or exclusion.

We must realize that our words, actions, and treatment towards others matter to GOD.

Be mindful that a joke to one person may become a lifetime wound to another. A careless comment may remain in someone's thoughts long after the conversation has ended. What one person dismisses as harmless may cause another person to question their worth.

One of the greatest challenges of bullying is that its effects may remain hidden. A person may be afraid to speak because they fear retaliation, embarrassment, rejection, or not being believed.

Children may struggle to explain what is happening. Adults may remain silent because they fear losing their jobs, damaging relationships, or being labeled as difficult.

Some people begin withdrawing from others. Some lose confidence. Others may struggle with anxiety, sadness, or a sense of isolation.

This is why we must learn to listen with compassion instead of judging someone’s bullying experience. Ways to help: Instead of asking, “Why didn't you speak up?” perhaps we should ask, “Do you feel safe enough to tell me what happened?”

Instead of dismissing someone's experience, we can offer a listening ear, take their concerns seriously, and help them find appropriate support.

Remember:

We may not always recognize the pain someone is carrying, but we can choose not to add to it. Because…ALL FORMS OF BULLYING ARE PAINFUL.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly FATHER ,

Thank you for shedding the light of awareness on bullying. May the work out of the Holy Spirit comfort every child, adult, student, employee, family members, church members that are affected by bullying. May your Word in Psalm 34:18 “draw near to those who are brokenhearted” be their anchor of Peace. Teach us to use our words to encourage rather than destroy, to include rather than isolate, and to stand for what is right rather than follow the crowd. Amen in JESUS’ name.

                                      - In Jesus Holy name Amen.
