“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified or dismayed (intimidated), for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 AMP

Day 9 of the 61-day end-of-the-year devotional expanded. COURAGE isn’t always loud or dramatic. Sometimes it’s the quiet strength to rise again after a setback, to trust GOD when the outcome is still unseen, or to take the next small step when you feel weary. When GOD spoke the words “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified or dismayed (intimidated), for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go,” to Joshua, He was preparing Joshua for a huge assignment.
GOD chose Joshua to lead His people into the Promised Land. And just in case you didn’t notice, GOD didn’t promise Joshua that the journey would be easy or that fear would disappear. Instead, GOD reminded Joshua of His presence: “for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” And that same promise is for you today. Whatever challenge lies ahead of you, be it uncertainty, loss, change, or waiting, just know GOD is with you. Courage comes not from our own strength but from knowing who walks with us.
Remember:
COURAGE grows when you remember that GOD goes before you, stays beside you, and never leaves you behind. Keep moving forward. He’s already there waiting on you.
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly FATHER,
FATHER, thank You for reminding us that we are never alone. When fear tries to hold us back, please fill our hearts with Your courage. Help us to trust Your ever-loving presence as You strengthen our faith to keep going, when the road looks narrow. -Amen, in JESUS' Matchless name.
