SUBJECT: “FROM FORMER RAIN TO LATTER RAIN:PENTECOST AND OBEDIENCE.”

“And while being in their company and eating with them, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem but to wait for what the Father had promised, of which [He said] you have heard Me speak. For John baptized with water, but not many days from now you shall be baptized with (placed in, introduced into) the Holy Spirit.” ~Acts 1:4-5. Amplified Bible

PROPHETIC FYI:

The Former Rain represents the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Acts chapter 1. The Latter Rain points to the end-time move of GOD happening now. The former and latter rain build a bridge of obedience to the Holy Spirit.

Holy Pentecost is remembered as a Holy fire-filled outpouring day. A day of power…a day of mighty rushing wind…a day when tongues of fire appeared…and a day when bold preaching took place. But before that great day of Holy Pentecost came to pass something was commanded for the disciples to do. They were told to go and WAIT in expectation.

In Acts 1:4–5, JESUS is quoted as giving a simple instruction: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised.” JESUS’ command did not come with a detailed timeline or explanation. It only required OBEDIENCE. The disciples had just witnessed JESUS’ resurrection. They were ready to go, ready to act, ready to change the world. But JESUS knew his beloved disciples needed His divine power after He left them. This is why JESUS told them to go Pray, add some fasting to it, and wait in expectation.

Obedience in that moment meant staying when they wanted to go, trusting when they did not fully understand why they had to gather together in unity. Acts 1:14 tells us they were “all joined together constantly in prayer.”

Holy Pentecost happened in that place of intentional obedience. The Holy Spirit was not poured out on those who were disobedient but on those who followed JESUS’ instructions precisely. Their intentional obedience positioned them to receive power and spiritual gifts of empowerment.

People of God this Prophetic Pentecost umbrella of truth still speaks today. That power of Holy Pentecost, the boldness, the new wisdom, and spiritual breakthrough only come by the pathway of obedience. The latter-day Pentecost rain has not changed. The spiritual recipe is still the same. Holy Pentecost reminds us that GOD honors daily intentional obedience. And that same Holy Spirit that filled the upper room is still given today not as a reward for perfection, but as a response to hearts that are willing to obey to GOD. Holy Pentecost was not born out of performance, but divine obedience. The fire fell on those who obeyed and stayed where GOD told them to remain.

Remember:

the question is not just whether we want Holy Pentecost power, but whether we are willing to walk in Holy Pentecost obedience.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly FATHER ,

Thank You for the season of Holy Pentecost being the expected way to live daily. May the Holy Spirit help us to live an obedient life just as the disciples and others did.

- In Jesus name, Amen.

O. M. Nugget:

“DAILY HOLY PENTECOST IS THE RUACH SPIRIT MOVING SWIFTLY.”

Food For Thought:

“From the day of Pentecost until the present time, it has been necessary to be of one accord in prayer before the Spirit of God will work with mighty converting power.”
