Just as a father loves his children, so the Lord loves those who fear and worship Him [with awe-filled respect and deepest reverence]. Psalm 103:13 Amplified Bible

Father’s Day is a time to celebrate the men who have loved us and molded our lives with wisdom, mentoring, and training. Whether the molding was done through quiet sacrifices, steady guidance, or their unwavering presence, earthly fathers leave a lasting imprint on their children's hearts. Today, we pause not only to honor our earthly fathers, but also to reflect on the perfect love of our Heavenly FATHER.

Earthly fathers, though imperfect, often give us glimpses of GOD’S character. In their protection, we see His shelter. In their provision, we recognize His care. In their discipline, we experience His desire to guide us toward what is right. Yet even the best human example cannot fully capture the depth of GOD’S love for His children.

The Word of GOD reminds us of this truth in Psalm 103:13

“Just as a father loves his children, so the Lord loves those who fear and worship Him [with awe-filled respect and deepest reverence] This verse paints a divine picture of GOD’S heart, His tender mercy, His patient love, and His abundant Grace. GOD’S love is not conditional or fleeting it is steadfast and enduring. It meets us in both our strengths and our struggles. Unlike earthly fathers, parenting can be compromising because of their limitations.

For some, Father’s Day brings joy and gratitude. For others, it may carry a sense of unhappiness, loss and loneliness. No matter where you find yourself today, the love of our Heavenly FATHER remains constant. GOD will always be present when others are absent, He will be faithful when others fall short, and He is always near when we need Him most.

As we celebrate this day, let us give thanks for the fathers and father figures in our lives. Let us also draw closer to GOD, who invites us into a relationship marked by His Grace, and unconditional love. And, to the One our Great FATHER who loved us first, guides us faithfully, and reigns eternally in majesty and glory Happy FATHER’S Day.

"The LORD has established His throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all." Psalm 103:19

Dear Heavenly FATHER ,

Thank you for being the great Holy FATHER of the universe. May your Holy Spirit be the gratitude, joy and love that earthly fathers experience this Father’s Day. In JESUS’ name amen.
