SUBJECT: “LAST 7 DAYS TO GLORY -PROPHETIC LENTEN JOURNEY"

Week 5: “PALM SUNDAY STARTS THE JOURNEY TO GLORY’S FINAL DESTINATION"

The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted,

“Hosanna to the Son of David!”

"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”

"Hosanna in the highest heaven!”—Matthew 21:9

Sacred Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week. A time of reflection, humility, hope, and passion for every devout Christian around the world. Sacred Palm Sunday commemorates JESUS’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem, when large crowds greeted Him by waving palm branches and shouting the sacred words Hosanna. The crowds were screaming Hosanna, which means “save now,” and Blessed is the King of Israel.

The palm branches symbolized that our LORD already had victory and peace. It was just waiting to unfold completely. Sacred Palm Sunday also carries a reminder of how quickly human hearts can change. However, Sacred Palm Sunday invites us to consider what true peace and genuine faith should look like in our own lives.

It’s not just a celebration of an event long ago, but it’s a call to carry that same spirit of love and compassion into our daily actions. Let’s go deeper. Whether you’re attending a live church service or simply choosing to take time alone this Holy Palm Sunday in quiet reflection, I pray that this Sacred Palm Sunday will fill your heart with gratefulness, hope, and a renewed sense of awareness and purpose.

Let us let this resurrection time renew our faith in JESUS.

Remember:

Holy Palm Sunday is the door opener to Sacred Holy Week.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly FATHER,

Thank You, JESUS, your only begotten son. Thank You for knowing that He was the only one worthy of being celebrated with the cheers of Hosanna. Truly, He was the Hosanna to the world then and now.- In Your Matchless Name, Jesus, Amen.

Expository Study:

Week 5: Sacred Holy Week

Prophetic Focus: Draw, Abide, Remain

  • Day 1 – Palm Sunday: The King Arrives.

    • Scripture Reading: Matthew 21:1–11

    • “WELCOMING THE KING IN HUMILITY.”

When JESUS rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, the crowd rejoiced, waving palm branches and shouting, “Hosanna!” They expected a conquering hero, but Jesus came as the Prince of Peace. His kingship wasn’t about force or fame; it was about humble obedience and sacrificial love. GOD’S Glory often enters our lives quietly, through moments where humility opens the door for His presence. Palm Sunday calls us to praise JESUS not just in triumph, but in trust, even when His ways surprise us.

  • Reflection Question: How do I welcome JESUS into my daily life?

  • Prayer: JESUS, you are the humble King worthy of all honor, praise, and glory. I lay down my pride and surrender my heart to You now. Lead me on this journey toward the cross and resurrection. Amen in JESUS’ name.

  • Holy Palm Sunday Takeaway: Glory to GOD begins with humility and surrender

  • Day 2 – Holy Monday: Cleansing the Temple.

    • Scripture Reading: Matthew 21:12–17

    • “PURITY IN GOD’S HOUSE.”

JESUS’ entered the temple courts and cleared out everything that distracted from true worship. His ZEAL was not anger for its own sake, but it was love for His Father’s house and longing for His people to return to pure devotion. Remember, we are GOD’S temple today. Our hearts, minds, and actions must reflect His holiness. JESUS still desires to cleanse us of whatever steals His rightful place, such as fear, greed, distraction, or pride.

  • Reflection Question: What needs cleansing in the temple of my heart?

  • Prayer: FATHER, make my heart a dwelling place for You alone. Remove what dishonors You and restore a spirit of purity and Prayer within me. Amen in Jesus' name.

  • Holy Monday Takeaway: Let JESUS cleanse every distraction that hinders your true worship.

  • Day 3 – Holy Tuesday: Teaching in the Temple.

    • Scripture Reading: Mark 12:28–34

    • “THE GREATEST COMMANDMENT.”

In His final days before the cross, JESUS taught what mattered most. LOVE. Love for GOD with all our heart, mind, and soul, and to love others as we love ourselves. These two commands hold the heart of GOD’S law. Following JESUS means living a life of pure love, not obligation. Pure love transforms faith from duty into delight, and religion into relationship. As we get closer to the cross, this love is commanded to exude from us daily.

  • Reflection Question: What does it look like to love GOD with “all my heart, soul, mind, and strength”?

  • Prayer: FATHER, teach me to love You completely and to love others generously. Let love shape my words, my choices, and my worship. Amen in JESUS’ name.

  • Holy Tuesday Takeaway: Love is the heartbeat of resurrection life.

  • Day 4 – Holy Wednesday: Betrayal in the Shadows

    • Scripture Reading: Luke 22:1–6

    • “THE COST OF BETRAYAL”

In the secret of the night, Judas struck a deal to betray the one he followed and called LORD. A defective disciple kiss would become the symbol of betrayal. JESUS showed the world how to remain calm in the presence of His enemies. In that moment of deceit, JESUS remained steadfast in love because He knew purpose had met destiny. We, too, can betray JESUS when we prioritize convenience over commitment. But thank GOD for His Grace, which continues to invite us to return, confess, and be restored.

  • Reflection Question: Where do I need to renew my loyalty to JESUS?

  • Prayer: FATHER, guard my heart from compromise. When I am tempted to turn away, remind me of Your steadfast love. Restore my devotion to You. Amen in JESUS’ name.

  • Holy Wednesday Takeaway: Stay close to JESUS, our Savior, even when faith feels costly.

  • Day 5 – Holy Thursday: The Last Supper.

    • Scripture Reading: Luke 22:14–20

    • “THE COVENANT OF GRACE.”

On JESUS’ final night with His disciples, He took bread and wine, pointing to His body. He broke the bread and then held the cup of wine, symbolizing His blood being poured out. In this act of divine remembrance, Grace and Redemption became tangible. The table of the LORD reminds us that salvation is not earned, it’s received. It’s a beautiful gift of acceptance. Just as Holy Communion is both a meal of remembrance and a moment of renewal, where JESUS offers Himself to be the heart fixer into our weary hearts.

  • Reflection Question: How can I live in continual remembrance of JESUS’ sacrifice?

  • Prayer: FATHER, thank You for sending Your only son to give His life for me. May the reality of Your love sink deep into my heart now. Please renew my spirit and strengthen my faith. Amen in JESUS’ name.

  • Holy Thursday Takeaway: Communion refreshes our souls with the Grace of CHRIST.

  • Day 6 – Holy Good Friday: The Cross and the Crown

    • Scripture Reading: John 19:16–30

    • “THE PRICE OF REDEMPTION.”

Good Holy Friday stands at the center of GOD’S story. It’s a sad day of suffering that became the victory of love. As JESUS hung on the cross, He victoriously shouldered the weight of the world’s sin. His final words were, “It is finished,” my 33-year assignment and mission is finished. I have obediently paid the price for salvation for all through the shedding of my innocent blood for every soul. Let the cross remind us that redemption is costly, yet fully paid. GOD’S love endured nails, rejection, and darkness to bring us to the light of eternal life.

  • Reflection Question: How can I live in gratitude for the finished work?

  • Prayer: FATHER, thank You for Your only Son enduring the cross for my sake. When I feel unworthy, remind me that Your grace is enough. Help me carry my cross with faith and courage. Amen in JESUS’ name.

  • Holy Good Friday Takeaway: The cross transforms suffering into everlasting hope.

  • Day 7 – Holy Saturday: The Silence of Waiting

    • Scripture Reading: Matthew 27:57–66

    • “TRUST IN THE IN-BETWEEN.”

Holy Saturday was the silent day between JESUS’ death and resurrection. The disciples were in their grieving season, mourning the temporary death of their leader and teacher. The world was dark and still, and the presence of GOD appeared absent. But, beneath the darkness and silence, Heaven was preparing the finale. The dawning of total victory was being processed for Jesus' followers to hope and for the unbelieving spectators to witness history’s greatest Miracle on earth. Hallelujah. We all live through “Saturday seasons.” Times when hope feels distant. But resurrection always comes. It’s the time GOD works even when we can’t see His hand.

  • Reflection Question: Where am I waiting for GOD to move in silence?

  • Prayer: Great Holy FATHER, when I cannot feel You, help me to trust You. Give me patience and peace in the waiting, knowing that resurrection is never in the far distance. Amen in JESUS’ name.

  • Holy Saturday Takeaway: GOD’S silence never means His absence.
