SUBJECT: “THE BACKPACKS ARE PACKED, BUT ARE THE CHILDREN COVERED?”

“The Lord will protect you from all evil; He will keep your life. The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in [everything that you do] From this time forth and forever.”

~Psalm 121:7-8

The question is “Are the children covered?” By now the backpacks are packed, children have gone back to school “but are they covered in Prayer? We should all recognize the evil times we live in and the importance of covering our children in Prayer and welcome the blood of JESUS to saturate them wholly. Our children are growing up in a world filled with influences, pressures, confusion, violence, temptation, and voices that compete for their hearts and minds.

This means that we cannot afford to be casual about covering our children and grandchildren. Our message to them should be that, before they walk into the classroom each day, they understand how to talk and walk with GOD. Second, before they encounter the voices of their friends and uncaring teachers/school personnel they need to recognize the voice of GOD. Third, before they face peer pressure they need to know who they are and whose they are.

This is why we must ANOINT THEM…COVER THEM IN PRAYER…SPEAK THE WORD OF GOD OVER THEM and DECLARE THE BLOOD OF JESUS SATURATE THEM. Let’s be more proactive this 2026-2027 school year. Let’s not just prepare the backpack but let’s prepare the vessels. Let’s not just purchase school supplies, but supply them with the Word of GOD. Let’s not just Pray that they have a good school year but that they have a GOD-Filled school year. We may not be able to control everything our children will do or encounter but we can cover them in Prayer and teach them to take refuge in the LORD.

During your parental anointing service…”JUST DO THIS.”

Anoint their head to retain Godly Wisdom. 
Anoint their eyes to behold Godly discernment. 
Anoint their inner ears to hear what is right when wrong is present. 
Anoint their mouths to speak life in those in their circle.
Anoint their feet to go only in the direction GOD leads them to go. 
And Anoint their hearts to stay their stand anchored on all the Promises of GOD.

We are not raising children to be afraid of the perilous times but we are raising children who know how to stay their stand in the perilous times.

Dear Heavenly FATHER ,

Thank You for awakening us one more time to see the importance of anointing and covering your dear children. Holy Spirit us as parents, grandparents, godparents, and legal guardians show us how to anoint and cover our beloved children for your Glory and our good. In JESUS’ Holy name. Amen.
