“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV
Children are their parent's most precious commodities. GOD ordained it to be that way. He said, ”Children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Proverbs 127:3.
Heritage and reward two major commodities from the LORD. It is no wonder that BACK TO SCHOOL 2020 on all levels of education is such an alarming decision. Every family has its own level of vulnerability to the coronavirus. Every family has its own part to play and support learning in their home. Each child within each family has their own social and academic needs.
As a result, parents are faced with making strategic at home back-to-school decisions as well as sending their children off to college. Most parents are not in a position to home school. However, they are expected to home school and work too. Soon it will be making back to school decisions whether to go to the school campus or stay at home. GOD HELP US. Either way, reasonable individual family decisions are the headliner for children. The most mind-boggling question is. What to do? Parents want to know what to do. Back to school at home parents want to know what to do. The answer to what to do is TRUST GOD.
As CHRISTIANS PARENTS one of the most quoted mantra’s is ”Blessed and highly favored.”
That sounds very spiritual but do you the reciter believe that you are truly blessed and favored? Remember, TRUST and FAITH in GOD produces PEACE in all circumstances. Peace in the pandemic, Peace in back to school and Peace in trusting GOD to do what you can not do. Then, the argument behind the unlimited trust, faith, and Peace is ”BUT, ” well you know, use your common sense, they say. These are all supportive reasons not to fully trust GOD. The list is endless. Parents, I strongly exhort you today to exercise: TRUST in GOD, ABANDON your finite understanding, PRAY, and ask GOD for the way for your child/children. Then and only then will you see the way and know the way back to school in the pandemic 2020.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly FATHER,
Forgive us for not fully trusting your plans, your ways, and your thoughts for all the children. Forgive us for seeking our way in this dark pandemic. Forgive us for being sarcastic and fearful, saying but instead of Thank you for your grace and mercy and all-knowing plans. In JESUS name amen.
Food for thought:
”Prayer is one of the greatest assets that a Christian could possess, but sometimes it seems to be a real challenge to make it a full part of our devotional life.”
