“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin."1 John 1:7
As a child, I loved hearing the late Aretha Franklin sing “Walk In The Light.” That gospel song is a spirit-filled gospel song pointing to JESUS as the light. Truly, JESUS is the light of the world. (John 8:12.) He is also the bright light in every dark place in our lives. JESUS is that divine light that illuminates our emotions, hearts, minds, and the soul.
The sun and moon are GOD’S supernatural light, but they cannot illuminate our emotions, hearts, and souls like the permeating Light of JESUS. We are now in the season of gratefulness when families and friends will Gather Together to fellowship in the Spirit of love. A time when the light of JESUS needs to be the centerpiece of every heart and table. As believers and followers of JESUS CHRIST, we must recall and be focused on that You are His light in the natural.
Your greetings, hugs, and smiles are Spiritual illuminators during this precious time to win souls. This is the season that the families, work families, schools, and churches need our JESUS lights to shine brighter. We are NOT called to be show-offs or goody-to-shoes but “LIGHT BEARERS” to the community and families. We impart light. Not dispel light. This assignment might seem like a heavy, light load. But worry, just let your little light shine, and JESUS will radiate His radiant divine light in your life.
Remember:
”When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12.
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly FATHER,
Thank you for JESUS being the bright, shining light in the lives of those who accept Him as Lord and Savior. May our light shine brighter because of His divine light radiating in us.
-In Your Matchless Name, Jesus, Amen.
