SUBJECT: “SPIRITUAL HYPE IS NOT OF GOD.”

So then let us not sleep [in spiritual indifference] as the rest [of the world does], but let us keep wide awake [alert and cautious] and let us be sober [self-controlled, calm, and wise].~1 Thessalonians 5:6

JESUS, the Spiritual Eye Opener. I went to a Prophetic Conference recently hosted by a well-known Prophet. Many Prophetic voices were presenting what sounded like well-studied messages. But some of the messages had “no Holy Ghost power.” While at the conference, I perceived through the Holy Spirit that a lot of elevated preaching was not of GOD. Then, the LORD spoke to me in my sleep very loudly and said…”DO NOT HYPE MY PEOPLE.”

It was a thunderous voice. Very piercing to my ear and alarming. I sensed immediately what the LORD was revealing to me. The revelation matched with some of the over-hype I observed at the conference. I also noticed that there was no ALTAR CALL either night. My soul was grieved. Grieved because SOUL WINNING is the most important assignment JESUS left for us to do. Overly Spiritual Hype causes us to forget the main ingredient to all Worship Services. I also heard GOD say…”HIS PEOPLE ARE IN THE SEASON OF SOUL WINNING AND SOUL BUILDING TO SURVIVE THE NEXT HARD HAPPENING THAT’S COMING SOON.”

I challenge every reader of this post to confess all your sins, repent, and come into alignment with GOD. One of the biggest survival keys for surviving the NEXT HARD THING COMING is going to be being in righteous fellowship and relationship with GOD through His son JESUS CHRIST. GOD does not need the world’s shenanigans or His unrepentant dear children to help push His Holy agenda. GOD is exposing, and it’s our job to call what the Holy Spirit exposes our Spiritual Eyes to perceive.

Satan, our contrary adversary, loves to pull God’s people into unhealthy extremes. And immature anointed leaders will allow pride, greed, or insecurity to suck them into toxic spirituality. It's real, and it can happen to mature Prophets and Prophetic people as well. This type of religious show-off results in wounded people suffering from church hurt and confusion.

What causes Spiritual Hype?

The Bible says to avoid hyper-spirituality. [1 Corinthians 4:6]
Hyper-spirituality leads to legalism, false security, and unnecessary division. [Romans 14:1-6]
Hyper-spirituality smothers Godly joy and thanksgiving. [1 Timothy 4:1-4]
Hyper-spirituality leads to neglect and avoiding the weightier matters. [Matthew 23:23-24]
Overemphasis on money. [1 Timothy 6:10]

Remember:

Don’t be deceived. Listen to the Holy Spirit, who is the true Spirit of truth (John 16:13).

Dear Heavenly FATHER,

Thank you. May your true Prophetic leaders repent for falsely hyping your people for self-gain. May your people, your anointed leaders, follow and obey you in all their ways. -Amen, in JESUS' Matchless name.
