What do you do when you have a serious need, a serious calling, or a profound opportunity to prove yourself? You probably get up EARLY to get it done.
That is precisely how important PRAYER was to JESUS. He got up very early before daybreak to be alone with GOD. Spending time alone with GOD early each morning was JESUS' daily focus so that He could be guided by the supernatural plans GOD had for Him. JESUS knew, "In the early morning, while it was still dark," while His disciples and followers were still asleep, that was His best time to be ALONE with GOD.
JESUS, let go of that warm and comfortable bed no matter how exhausted he was so that He could get the daily spiritual manna He knew He needed that only came through Prayer. When GOD called JESUS, he got up early. He never missed an opportunity to be alone with GOD. What about us? How many countless times has GOD called us before daybreak for an encounter with Him but missed the calling because we will not get up? PRAYER is a challenging sacrifice!
Predawn Prayer is a more significant, challenging sacrifice, but it should be done if you want to be successful. To sacrifice is Biblical. Romans 12:1 NIV says…" Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in viewGod'sod's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship."
If you think a few more hours of sleep is more important than a predawn encounter with GOD, you are 100% incorrect. Early predawn Prayer is the perfect opportunity to WORSHIP GOD in peace, minus distractions. JESUS choose to pray alone early in the morning. But he also prayed with and taught His disciples how to pray too.
Praying together with others at the predawn hour is a time of spiritual inner soul empowerment.
