SUBJECT: “THE POWER OF HOLY PENTECOST IS ESSENTIAL”

“On the day of Pentecost, all the believers were meeting together in one place. Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.” -Acts 2:1-4 NLT

Acts chapter 2 instructs the Body of Christ on the essentiality of having GOD’S POWER to effectively Evangelize the world. The Christian Church was born from the great Pentecost experience in the upper room. It was an impactful experience and event that has been misunderstood since the day of its inception. Some folks say Pentecost is for “holy rollers,” those people displaying emotional extremism. Then, other folks say Pentecost is a cultist denomination or movement. And last, some have no idea at all what the season or day of Pentecost was all about.

What is Pentecost to you? Have you ever celebrated Pentecost? Have you had a Pentecostal experience? For those who do not have a knowledgeable understanding of HOLY PENTECOST, check out my brief explanation about it. Traditionally, in the Christian community, HOLY PENTECOST marks the end of the 50 Days after Easter. Acts 2: 1-4 describes the big-bang event in detail. It defines the primary reason HOLY PENTSCOST is essential. It proved that it had the power to produce bold and courageous men and women to evangelize.

HOLY PENTECOST was the “Birth Day” of the Christian Church. It was a turning point for the disciples who followed JESUS and the other believers in that upper room. The first HOLY PENTECOST was the BIRTHING room for the Holy Trinity. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. And, HOLY PENTECOST was JESUS keeping His word in Matthew 28:20, “I will be with you always, even until the end of the age.”

HOLY PENTECOST marks the fulfillment of JESUS’ promise.

Thank you for being a record-keeping promise-keeper. Your promises are still being celebrated and experienced among your dedicated, spiritually reborn dear children. Thank you for the Holy Trinity’s power, enabling all Christians to go and win souls and make disciples. - In His Holy name, Amen.
