SUBJECT: “WHEN GOD SAYS GO. . .GO IN FAITH.”

“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” Psalm 46:10. ESV

GO means to move from one place to another. Go is sometimes traveling from a place of comfort to discomfort. When GOD says GO, it means stepping forward in Faith without questioning the destination or the outcome. We have experienced moments in life when everything seems comfortable, stable, and familiar, and then, out of nowhere, GOD says, “Go.” Go where? Sometimes He tells you. Sometimes He doesn’t. But what He always asks for is to have FAITH in the Go.

Throughout GOD’s Holy Scripture, we see that when GOD says "Go," it's rarely about location. It’s about obedience to His plan, purpose, and will to come into fruition. Question: Has GOD told you to GO, move, relocate, or change Ministry directions lately? I was summoned by the LORD to do a very new thing in my latter years. I knew it would take strong FAITH and decisive OBEDIENCE. During the decision time through Prayer, I often thought about Abraham, GOD’s friend. Abraham was suddenly summoned by the LORD, too. GOD said to him; Pack up, get out, and never 'GO' back.

GOD didn’t give Abraham a map. He gave him a promise IF he obeyed. Abraham had to leave everything familiar. His home, his family, his culture, and follow a GOD he was just beginning to know. Abraham went not because he had all the answers, but because he trusted the One who called him. That’s blind Faith. Faith is rarely comfortable. But comfort was never the goal. It was OBEDIENCE over FAITH! What Does “Go” Look Like for You? Is it a career shift? A ministry shift? Or a simple act of obedience without Faith in your daily life?

Remember:

GOD’S “Go” might be big, or it might be small, but it’s always significant when Faith and Obedience answer “Yes, LORD.”

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly FATHER,

Thank you for showing us, through your friend Abraham, that when You say go, it comes with a promise. FATHER, please Bless those you summon to go with new courage to step out, even when they don’t see the full picture. Help us to trust You more than we trust being comfortable. May the Holy Spirt Strengthen our faith in you. Steady our heart to obey, and lead us in Your will.-Amen, in JESUS' Matchless name.
