Have you ever had a season of “Trust GOD for it all?” This is the essence of Jehovah Jireh, our great provider who provides all. We are surrounded by scarcity, competition, and doubt that make it easy for me to fall into the mindset that there is never enough. There is the worry about finances, opportunities, relationships, and even your future. It’s called society telling us to depend solely on our limited ability, limited strategy, or status that can fail at any time. But Psalm 34:10 boldly narrates that narrative. It reminds us that “GOD’S unlimited provision does not come from human effort.

Psalm 34:10 presents an image of lions growing weak, which is surprising because lions are often seen as symbols of strength, dominance, and self-sufficiency. However, they lack dependence on GOD so what does that say about relying solely on your limited power? Human ability, no matter how impressive has limits. How? Career shifts, inflation, divorce, loss of jobs and much more.

All planned by human effort will fail. But GOD’s provision is not subject to those or any type of limitations. Yes, we acknowledge that GOD’S provision does not always look like abundance in the way we expect. It may come in just enough, it may come as resilience in hardships, and unexpected doors opening at the right time. As you reflect on Psalm 34:10 consider where you may be relying more on your own strength than on GOD’S provision. Repent, and ask GOD to help you rely MORE on His unlimited provision in all circumstances.

To call our Great GOD Jehovah Jireh is to acknowledge Him as our UNLIMITED PROVIDER.

Dear Heavenly FATHER ,

Thank you for being our supernatural super power GOD that provides everything we need daily. Forgive us for not seeing your providing hand in everything that concerns us. We praise you now for being our unlimited provider. In JESUS’ Holy name amen.
