“Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God." Titus 2:3-5 (N I V)
I am endeared to Titus 2:3-5. It is the anchor scripture for the O. Ministries Spiritual Daughters Ministry. Titus 2:3-5 gives an abbreviated glimpse of the importance of spiritual mothers. Women are the only ones who need nurturing, but men need their biological mothers to be spiritual mothers too. What does it mean to be a spiritual mother? The list could be exhaustive, but why make LOVE hard.
Spiritual Motherhood is a type of maternity all mothers experience through the great “MOVING GRACE” of GOD. The great GRACE of GOD empowers spiritual mothers with five unique qualities.
Spiritual Mothers take TIME caring for their biological children and other children, whether they are related or not.
Spiritual Mothering has genuine caring and love that spills into their nurturing and providing an environment to make their children feel safe.
Spiritual Mothers are gentle but firm pushers. They push their children in the direction that GOD wants to pull them in.
Spiritual Mothers share GODLY wisdom and Impart spiritual vision in their desires.
Spiritual Mothers MODEL character, integrity, knowledge, and wisdom at all times.
Remember:
Spiritual Mothers mold, shape, teach, train, and vertically align their children to the LORD’s commands.
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly FATHER,
Thank you for imputing your divine spirituality in biological and spiritual mothers regardless of their age, color, or race. - Amen in JESUS’ Mighty name.
