SUBJECT: “VOLUNTEERING IS EVANGELISM.”

Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.” Matthew 9:37

Compassion Is a word we do not hear much about nowadays. But it is the exact feeling that grieved JESUS’ heart when he entered the towns and villages and saw how spiritually destitute the people were. No one was standing in line waiting to be mentored or trained to HELP JESUS evangelize. Although JESUS immediately saw the shepherdless people standing by the need for VOLUNTEERS. I often think to myself, what are we seeing today?

Do we see a need to volunteer and help evangelizing ministries evangelize the world? JESUS was the perfect example to let us know that we could not evangelize alone. Volunteer help is will always be needed. If you are reading this post, I want to inform you that being afraid of the pandemic, the homeless community, and doing double-time on your job will probably not be on GOD’s understanding checklist. We have been called to “GO” and make disciples. There could be a variety of different ministries. However, all ministries need help. According to current surveys, the ministry fields need workers. Workers can be referred to as VOLUNTEERS.

JESUS disciples were volunteers. They left their homes and dedicated their lives to helping JESUS spread the gospel. Volunteers are those helping hands who help people feel and experience the love of JESUS. And, we should have that same kind of compassion and desire to help evangelize.

Remember:

JESUS encouraged His disciples to pray to GOD to send more workers/volunteers into the ministry fields.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly FATHER,

Thank you for your having willing workers for the vineyard. May they rise up to help do the commission of evangelism. - Amen in JESUS’ Mighty name.

“DOES YOUR SPIRITUAL EVANGELISM-VOLUNTEERING LOOK LIKE JESUS’?”

Food For Thought:

“Everybody can be great. Because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject, and your verb agrees to serve…. You don’t have to know the second theory of thermodynamics in physics to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.” -Martin Luther King, Jr
